Scheduled routine maintenance. They said only thing required was included in standard oil change. Could have up sold me but didn't. Called when ready and said that my tires were close to legal limit. I suspected before. They tried very hard to find me tires. Alas the ones I wanted could not be found that day. They even suggested drop shipping to them. That is excellent customer service...

My daughter was stranded in Austin with an overheating car about 200 miles from home. I was fortunate enough to find Friendly on my phone from Houston, and after 5 minutes with the manager I sent her over. They diagnosed the problem, gave me a fair estimate, and then one of the shop guys offered to stay late on Saturday to get it done so she could head back to school on Sunday. Repairs were done, she is back home, and the final price was a little below the estimate. Good quality folks run this place - they very easily could have taken advantage of the situation but didn't.

See if you parents out there can relate to this. My 19 year old daughter was stuck 200 miles from home with an overheating car, and by the time I found a place for her to go it was noon on Saturday. She had to get back for school Monday. I was at the mercy and good graces of the place I found by chance on google. Luckily it was Friendly I contacted. The manager Matt immediately understood the situation, explained our options and had work started on the car. Diagnosis was a leaking radiator, and replacing it didn't seem likely in the time remaining before they closed - Matt offered me the names of places open on Sunday so I could get her car repaired on home by Monday. Just before I sent her to a big box repair place, Matt called and said one of his guys volunteered to stay late and get the car fixed. Shop closed at 3, her car was fixed around 4. Price quoted was fair, and the final price was actually less then the quote. My daughter arrived back at her dorm earlier tonight. They could have told me anything - they could have charged me almost anything. Instead they fixed her car for a fair price, and stayed open past normal hours on a Saturday to see that it was done right. Next time I'm in Austin I will come by to thank them in person. In the mean time, I can't recommend you take your car to Friendly Car Care on Burnet Rd any more highly. Quality work - and what's much more important to me - quality people.

About a month ago, I had a flat tire with both of my small children in the car with me. I am not familiar with North Austin and by luck I stumbled upon Friendly Car Care. To say that the people who took care of me were awesome is an understatement! They were so nice, honest, quick and extremely helpful. I live in Lakeway and will definitely make the trip to have them service my car for all future repairs or problems. GREAT STAFF!! GREAT PLACE!!!

Just pulled up to this place in the pouring down rain because my low tire light came on. I'm pretty dumb when it comes to cars so I asked one of the mechanics if he could help me out. William willingly helped me fill up all four tires and was patient enough to show me how to do it in the future as well. Free of charge, and extremely helpful! Definitely will be going back to these guys for any future car problems. They seemed really trustworthy and eager to help out a dumb girl in need.
