See if you parents out there can relate to this. My 19 year old daughter was stuck 200 miles from home with an overheating car, and by the time I found a place for her to go it was noon on Saturday. She had to get back for school Monday. I was at the mercy and good graces of the place I found by chance on google. Luckily it was Friendly I contacted. The manager Matt immediately understood the situation, explained our options and had work started on the car. Diagnosis was a leaking radiator, and replacing it didn't seem likely in the time remaining before they closed - Matt offered me the names of places open on Sunday so I could get her car repaired on home by Monday. Just before I sent her to a big box repair place, Matt called and said one of his guys volunteered to stay late and get the car fixed. Shop closed at 3, her car was fixed around 4. Price quoted was fair, and the final price was actually less then the quote. My daughter arrived back at her dorm earlier tonight. They could have told me anything - they could have charged me almost anything. Instead they fixed her car for a fair price, and stayed open past normal hours on a Saturday to see that it was done right. Next time I'm in Austin I will come by to thank them in person. In the mean time, I can't recommend you take your car to Friendly Car Care on Burnet Rd any more highly. Quality work - and what's much more important to me - quality people.
